GMReis Completes First U.S. Quick Radius Case

GMReis has completed the first Quick Radius Distal Radius System clinical case in the United States, marking the introduction of its new single-use procedural platform designed for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).

Quick Radius combines sterile implants and dedicated single-use instrumentation in one procedure-specific solution, reducing dependence on conventional reusable trays and simplifying logistics, sterilization, inventory management, and OR preparation.

For ASCs, the concept is designed to provide a more standardized and predictable surgical workflow, with the implants and essential instrumentation available together for each procedure.

Quick Radius is the first of several single-use orthopedic procedural systems GMReis plans to introduce in the U.S. market, extending the concept to additional orthopedic procedures. The company introduced the VersaLock Ankle System in mid-August, and earned two U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearances in subsequent weeks.

“Quick Radius represents our strategy of designing not only the implant, but the entire surgical workflow around the needs of ASCs—combining implants, instrumentation and procedural efficiency in one platform,” the company said.

GMReis is a Brazilian company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes implants and surgical instruments for orthopedic and spine surgery.
